Kanhika is an artist + designer from California and Mumbai, currently spreading her creative roots in Wellington.

Observing subtle, intimate details and listening to stories people tell, Kanhika muses the mundane. Through her artwork, she urges people to do the same, slow down and pay attention to the little things in their lives - especially since so much of contemporary life focuses on spectacle.

Her lifelong love of collecting objects, has now translated into collecting and documenting human behaviour through their subtle physical gestures, interactions, the unsaid social and personal rules they follow. She mainly works with ethnography, performance art and videography as her medium.
